Sarbananda Sonowal Reviews Flood Relief Operations in Assam

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inspected relief camps and launched a supply mission to provide food and healthcare to flood-affected families in Assam.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited flood relief camps in Assam's Sivasagar district on July 25 to review the delivery of food, healthcare, and safe drinking water. During inspections at Lakhimi Nagar ME School and Bir Lachit Borphukan College in Bihubor, Sonowal ordered officials to maintain uninterrupted access to essential services for all affected families.

Earlier that day, Sonowal flagged off a relief mission led by the Assam Olympic Association from the Jalan Outdoor Stadium in Dibrugarh. This convoy is delivering essential supplies to families across the Charaideo, Sivasagar, and Jorhat districts.

Sonowal stated that the Government of India and the Assam state government are working in close coordination to ensure timely assistance reaches those in need. He emphasized a commitment to safeguarding lives and providing relief, food, and water to every affected family.
