WeWork CEO John Santora Details Post-Bankruptcy Stabilization Strategy
WeWork CEO John Santora implemented a formal dress code and hybrid work policy to stabilize corporate culture following the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
WeWork CEO John Santora detailed his strategy for stabilizing the office space provider following its Chapter 11 bankruptcy during Business Insider's The Long Play event on October 28, 2026. Santora focused on rebuilding corporate culture by balancing strict professional decorum with operational flexibility.
To shift the company away from the casual environment of the Adam Neumann era, Santora instituted a formal dress code to replace attire such as pajamas and slippers. He balanced this discipline with a hybrid work policy that allows employees to work from home one day per week, stating, "We have to give our employees that flexibility to do all that."
Under this leadership approach, WeWork has achieved eight quarters of EBITDA profitability and expects a fourth consecutive quarter of cash-flow profitability. The company reported approximately $2.3 billion in revenue in 2025.
