Super Micro Forecasts Revenue Up to $21.5 Billion
Super Micro Computer reported first-quarter revenue of $19.95 billion and raised its fiscal 2027 forecast amid strong AI server demand and a new CFO appointment.
Super Micro Computer Inc. reported first-quarter revenue of $19.95 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.81 per share, both of which exceeded analyst expectations. The company raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast to a range between $72.0 billion and $82.0 billion.
For the second quarter, the company forecast revenue between $19.5 billion and $21.5 billion, surpassing Wall Street estimates of $17.14 billion. This growth is driven by strong demand for AI-optimized servers as cloud providers and technology firms expand data-center capacity.
To address previous concerns over financial and accounting practices, the company appointed Mark Long as Chief Financial Officer last month, ending a nearly two-year search for the role. These developments occur as the company faces investor concerns regarding litigation with a former co-founder and the sustainability of AI spending among neo-cloud providers.
Additionally, the company remains under scrutiny following a contractor's guilty plea regarding the illegal export of Nvidia AI chips to China.
