AMD Becomes Fourth US Chipmaker to Hit $1 Trillion Valuation
Advanced Micro Devices reached a $1 trillion market capitalization following a surge in data center revenue and a 184 percent increase in share price this year.
Advanced Micro Devices became the fourth U.S. chipmaker to reach a market capitalization of $1 trillion after its stock closed at $615.52 on September 21, 2026. The company's shares rose approximately 10 percent on that day and have increased about 184 percent throughout the year, joining Nvidia, Broadcom, and Micron Technology in hitting the valuation milestone.
Growth is driven primarily by the company's data center segment, which reported revenue of $6.7 billion, representing a 107 percent increase year-over-year. The company guided for third-quarter revenue of approximately $13 billion.
CEO Lisa Su projected that data center revenue will more than double by 2027.
