Saurav Das Demands Release of Detained Protesters Across Three States

Saurav Das, the chief spokesperson for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), condemned the detention and arrest of students and protesters across Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar on July 27, 2026. Das described the arrests as a breach of trust, stating that the CJP had previously suspended nationwide protests after receiving assurances from the Government of India that no punitive actions would be taken in BJP-ruled or NDA-ruled states.

Das demanded the immediate release of all detainees and the withdrawal of First Information Reports (FIRs). He called on the Government of India to provide a written guarantee of its commitment by July 28, 2026. To support those affected, the CJP is currently coordinating legal assistance for the detained individuals.
