Florida 27th District Race Unresolved Pending Likely Recount
Republican Maria Elvira Salazar and Democrat Eliott Rodriguez remain locked in a narrow race for Florida's 27th District, with officials preparing for a potential recount.
The congressional race for Florida's 27th District remains unresolved following Tuesday's election. Unofficial results show an exceptionally narrow margin between Republican incumbent Maria Elvira Salazar and Democratic challenger Eliott Rodriguez, preventing either candidate from declaring victory.
The contest, centered in Miami-Dade County, focused on immigration, healthcare, and affordability. Election officials are currently reviewing results toward certification. A formal recount will be conducted if the final margin falls within state requirements.
A final winner is expected to be declared in several days once post-election procedures and ballot verifications are complete.
