Banyan Gold Discovers High-Grade Gold in Yukon's Nitra Project

Banyan Gold Corp. identified visible gold and high-grade mineralization at two new zones in the Mayo Mining District of Yukon during initial exploration drilling.

Banyan Gold Corp. discovered visible gold and high-grade mineralization during initial exploration drilling at the Nitra Gold Project in the Mayo Mining District, Yukon. The company identified two new discovery areas, the Roaring Fork zone and the Seattle Creek zone, located approximately 25 km west of the AurMac Deposit.

Drillhole NT-26-001 at Roaring Fork intersected 1.62 g/t gold over 5.0 metres, which included a high-grade interval of 17.80 g/t gold over 0.4 metres. The company is currently executing a greenfields diamond drilling program using helicopter-supported drills. Banyan intends to complete over 7,500 metres of drilling across 11 regional targets to identify potential satellite deposits.

To accelerate these exploration efforts, the company is mobilizing a third drill to the site. Executives described the findings as indicative of a new mineralized system with the necessary geologic ingredients for further targeting.
