Russia is transporting nearly 1,000 tons of diesel fuel to Armenia through Azerbaijan as part of a broader regional transit arrangement.

The Federal Government of Russia is shipping 989 tons of diesel fuel to Armenia using transit infrastructure in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan Railways confirmed that the fuel, transported in 17 tank cars, departed from Bilajari station toward Boyuk Kesik on September 2, 2026.

This shipment is part of a larger pattern of logistics cooperation. Azerbaijan has facilitated the movement of more than 55,000 tons of grain and 9,000 tons of fertilizer from Russia to Armenia to date.

In addition to facilitating Russian transit, the Government of Azerbaijan has directly exported approximately 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and 5,000 tons of gasoline to Armenia.
