Las Campanas Community Funds Targets $2 Million for 2027

Lucy Higgins announced a new combined fundraising strategy to raise $2 million for grants and scholarships in the Santa Fe area.

The Las Campanas Community Funds (LCCF) plans to raise $2 million for its 2027 campaign using a new combined approach to fund both its nonprofit grants and employee scholarships. Lucy Higgins, Chair of the LCCF, detailed the organization's history and philanthropic goals in an interview with The New Mexican.

Since its inception in 2001, the LCCF has awarded 325 grants totaling $5,201,660 to nearly 100 nonprofits in the Santa Fe area. These awards prioritize human services, education, and health. Additionally, a scholarship fund created in 2010 has provided more than $1.6 million to employees and their children.

The organization generates revenue through events and annual campaigns within The Club at Las Campanas. Administrative oversight and fund disbursement are managed through the New Mexico Community Trust, which verifies the eligibility of grantees.
