Reform UK Candidate Laila Cunningham Polls Second for London Mayor
Reform UK candidate Laila Cunningham holds 20% support in a new poll, placing her second for the 2028 London mayoral race.
A Savanta poll conducted for The Mile End Institute at Queen Mary University of London shows Reform UK mayoral candidate Laila Cunningham could reach the 2028 run-off for Mayor of London. The survey places the party at 20% support, trailing the Labour Party at 33% but leading the Conservative Party, Green Party, and Liberal Democrats.
Data from 1,036 adults indicates the party's strongest support is among 45 to 54-year-olds and individuals living in social or council housing. Support is higher among men and non-university graduates than among women and graduates. Geographically, the party performs best in eastern London boroughs.
Dr. Eoghan Kelly of Queen Mary University of London analyzed the results, noting that supporters are predominantly white, male, less well-off, and less well-educated.
