AM Intelligence Orders 9,000 Nvidia Systems for India AI Factory

AM Intelligence has ordered 9,000 Nvidia Corp. Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems to establish one of Asia's first frontier AI compute clusters in Hyderabad, India. Scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027, the systems will power the initial 30-megawatt phase of a facility designed to support trillion-parameter AI models and reduce inference token costs by up to 10 times compared to the previous Grace Blackwell generation.

The project is the first stage of a broader $8-billion investment to establish 1 gigawatt of compute-as-a-service capacity across India, the United States, Finland, and Malaysia, with 200 megawatts expected to come online within 18 months. To fund the expansion, the company is finalizing $1.5 billion in financing from Japanese banks and has mandated Morgan Stanley to raise an additional $1.5 billion in equity from global investors.

By 2030, the company aims to reach 5 gigawatts of total data center capacity across India, Europe, and other regions. To maintain competitive global pricing, the venture leverages the AM Group's access to low-cost renewable energy via Greenko Group. The infrastructure will utilize liquid cooling to support high-density computing for AI-native customers and neoclouds.
