Lonza Sets Growth Targets and Sells Capsules Business

Lonza announced mid-term financial targets and is finalizing a $3 billion sale of its Capsules & Health Ingredients business to Lone Star Funds.

Lonza Group AG announced new mid-term financial targets on Wednesday while confirming its 2026 outlook. The Swiss contract drug manufacturer is targeting constant-currency organic sales growth of 10% to 13% and a core EBITDA margin in the high thirties percentage for the medium term. The company maintained its 2026 core EBITDA margin guidance of 33% to 34%.

As part of a transition into a pure-play drug manufacturer, the company is finalizing the $3 billion sale of its Capsules & Health Ingredients business to Lone Star Funds. This transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026.

Lonza also provided projections for its biologics site in Vacaville, California. While growth at the facility is expected to remain flat through 2028, the company indicated the site could reach peak sales of up to 2 billion Swiss francs by the early 2030s.
