Activewear Group Ltd Enters Administration Amid UK Retail Crisis

Activewear Group Ltd, a UK-based retailer specializing in uniforms, workwear, and activewear, entered administration on July 8, 2026. The company, which had operated for eight years, is currently holding a clearance sale on its website while other sections of the online store remain unavailable.

Stuart Kelly and Claire Harsley of Mackay Goodwin Limited were appointed as joint administrators to oversee the insolvency process. The company operates a 1,750 square foot warehouse, showroom, and office in Redditch. Records indicate the retailer registered a charge against its assets in June, shortly before the administration filing, to secure loans.

This failure is part of a broader pattern of instability within the UK retail sector in 2026. Other brands including LK Bennett, Claire's, and Quiz have also entered administration during the year.
