Escorts Kubota Invests Rs 2,000 Crore in Uttar Pradesh Plant

Escorts Kubota is investing Rs 2,000 crore to build a manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh to produce tractors and construction equipment for global markets.

Escorts Kubota Limited is investing Rs 2,000 crore to establish a new 154-acre manufacturing plant in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority industrial area of Uttar Pradesh. Located in Sector 10, Gautam Buddha Nagar, the facility will produce engines, tractors, farm implements, and construction equipment for both Indian and international markets.

The project will be developed in phases, with the initial stage adding annual capacity for 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment units. The company will fund the expansion through internal accruals and proceeds from a previous preferential share issue to Kubota Corporation.

This investment aligns with Kubota Corporation's mid-term business plan 2030, which seeks to transform India into a global manufacturing and engineering hub. Company leadership noted that the plant will integrate automation, digital quality control, and energy-efficient utilities from the start to strengthen India's position as a production center for the world.
