Capital Southwest Increases Credit Facility to $595 Million

Capital Southwest Corporation expanded its senior secured corporate credit facility to $595 million and extended its final maturity date to 2031.

Capital Southwest Corporation amended its senior secured corporate credit facility on September 2, 2026, increasing total commitments from $510 million to $595 million. The amendment extends the facility's revolving period to September 2, 2030, and pushes the final maturity date to September 2, 2031, ensuring the company has no debt maturities until 2029.

Financial terms of the agreement were improved through a reduction of the applicable margin from 2.15% to 2.00% and the removal of the SOFR adjustment. The company also increased its uncommitted accordion feature, which now allows maximum commitments to reach $1 billion.

Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer Chris Rehberger stated that the amendment expands borrowing capacity and lowers financing costs. He noted that the support from the lender group reflects confidence in the company's disciplined investment strategy and positions the firm to capitalize on market opportunities while managing risk.
