Waste Connections Raises Outlook and Dividend After Q3 Growth

Waste Connections increased its annual financial outlook and quarterly dividend after reporting third-quarter revenue of $2.638 billion and net income of $359.2 million.

Waste Connections raised its full-year 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA outlook for the second time this year following third-quarter results that exceeded expectations. The company reported quarterly revenue of $2.638 billion, an increase from $2.458 billion in the previous year, and net income of $359.2 million. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter reached $895.8 million.

Chief Executive Ronald Mittelstaedt attributed the growth to underlying margin expansion and improved solid-waste unit volumes, specifically within landfill activity. These gains offset a rise in diesel prices that occurred late in the quarter. The company now projects annual revenue of approximately $10.09 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $3.345 billion, while maintaining projected capital spending at $1.25 billion.

In response to the performance, the board increased the regular quarterly cash dividend by 10%, raising it to 38.5 cents per share from 35 cents. This dividend is payable on November 19, 2026. Following the announcement, shares of the company rose 9.6% to a new 52-week high of $185.54.
