IndiGo Resumes Dharamshala Route and Adds Guwahati-Itanagar Service

IndiGo expanded its regional network in India through the resumption of a suspended route and the announcement of a new service. On September 1, the airline resumed direct, non-stop flights between Dharamshala and Chandigarh via flight 6E 7722. The service, which had been paused due to poor weather in the hilly terrain, now operates four days a week between Kangra's Gaggal Airport and Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport with fares starting at approximately Rs 3,200.

In a separate expansion, the airline will launch direct flights between Guwahati, Assam, and Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, beginning October 10. This new service will initially run six days a week until October 24, before transitioning to a daily schedule on October 25 to increase passenger flexibility.

Concurrent with these updates, officials at Gaggal Airport are completing administrative and technical formalities to launch a new direct service between Gaggal and Jammu within the next few months. Airport authorities are also working to upgrade Gaggal Airport to international standards to further improve connectivity between Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
