Cockroach Janta Party to Operate as National Pressure Group

Following student-led protests that forced the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 25, Abhijeet Dipke announced on August 5 that the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will operate as a pressure group rather than a political party. During a two-day core committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, Dipke stated that a lack of faith in the judiciary, media, and the Election Commission makes a public movement more effective than entering electoral politics.

The organization is now expanding its focus to address unemployment, the national economic situation, and the government's ethanol-blended fuel policy. The CJP is also extending support to job aspirants in Ranchi, Jharkhand, who have been staging a sit-in at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium since July 29 to protest recruitment irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission.

To broaden its national base, the CJP will launch a nationwide outreach campaign called "Kya Bolti Public" next month, deploying volunteers to collect feedback from students and workers. Simultaneously, the group is negotiating with government representatives to withdraw FIRs filed against student protesters and is providing legal and medical aid to those injured during demonstrations in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bihar. Dipke further challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make his degree public, offering to release his own educational and financial documents in exchange.
