Augusta Regional Airport Closes Parking Lot A for Expansion

Augusta Regional Airport closed Long-Term Parking Lot A on Tuesday to begin a three-month project focused on repairs and expansion. The closure removes 350 parking spots from immediate availability, but the lot will reopen with 50 additional spaces once the work is finished.

This initiative is part of a broader two-year plan to add approximately 250 public parking spots to meet increasing air travel demand. To manage the temporary shortage, the airport is directing travelers to Long-Term Lots B and C, Short-Term Lot D, and the credit card lot.

Temporary overflow lots are available on airport grounds with lower rates payable via QR codes. Airport staff are providing maps and guidance during peak flight times, while officials recommend that travelers use taxis, shuttles, or rideshares to avoid congestion.
