Equinor Signs Five-Year Gas Supply Deal With Eneco

Equinor will deliver 9 terawatt-hours of natural gas annually to Dutch energy firm Eneco over five years to support residential and small business customers.

Equinor signed a five-year natural gas supply agreement with the Dutch energy firm Eneco to deliver approximately 9 terawatt-hours of gas annually. Starting October 1, 2026, the Norwegian energy company will provide about 0.9 billion cubic meters of gas from the Norwegian continental shelf to the Dutch gas grid.

This contract marks the third long-term arrangement between the two companies in 2026, following previous deals signed in February and May. Eneco intends to use the supply for its residential and small business customers in the Netherlands to maintain energy reliability while lowering procurement emissions.

To monitor the environmental impact, the companies are using a digital platform operated by Attributes SA to track environmental attributes. Equinor stated that the gas has a lifecycle greenhouse gas footprint 11.8% lower than the Dutch grid average based on 2025 data.
