Ukraine's Third Army Corps Recaptures 176 Square Kilometers

The Third Army Corps of Ukraine recaptured 51 square kilometers of territory during Operation Vivaldi, increasing the total area recovered since the start of the offensive to 176 square kilometers. Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi reported the capture of the settlements of Nove, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka, and the restoration of control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka.

Ukrainian forces focused their primary strike on Nove, a critical Russian hub on the bridgehead. To achieve this, the corps deceived Russian forces into committing reserves to the Shandryholove–Zelena Dolyna axis. To breach Russian fortifications, Ukraine deployed Soviet-made BTR-60 armored personnel carriers that had been converted into robotic kamikaze systems.

General Biletskyi stated that Russian forces suffered approximately 2,000 casualties during the operation. Additionally, more than 250 Russian soldiers were captured, including pilots, officers, and artillery personnel.
