Mykhailo Fedorov Seeks Western Investment for Ukraine Defense Fund
Former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov is seeking U.S. and Western investment to launch a defense technology fund focused on robotics and AI-enabled weaponry.
Mykhailo Fedorov, the former Defence Minister of Ukraine, is seeking investment from the United States and other Western partners to establish a new defence technology fund. The initiative intends to create weapons-development companies designed to increase Ukraine's ability to withstand ongoing military pressure from Russia.
Fedorov has identified three primary strategic priorities for the fund: the development of battlefield robotics, low-cost AI-enabled missiles, and inexpensive high-speed interceptor drones. These technologies are aimed at enhancing domestic production and tactical capabilities on the battlefield.
While outlining the goals of the venture, Fedorov did not provide details regarding his intended management responsibilities or whether he would maintain a personal financial interest in the fund.
