Blue Owl Capital Closes European Net Lease Fund at 1.6 Billion Euro
Blue Owl Capital closed its inaugural European net lease fund with 1.6 billion euros in commitments, exceeding its initial hard cap.
Blue Owl Capital Inc. announced the final close of its Blue Owl Real Estate European Net Lease Fund (OREF Europe) with 1.6 billion euros in total capital commitments. The fund's final size exceeded both its initial 1.0 billion euro target and its 1.5 billion euro hard cap.
The fund will target the acquisition of single-tenant net leased real estate and infrastructure assets essential to investment-grade corporate tenants. Investment focus areas include data centers, healthcare, industrial properties, and essential retail across continental Europe and the United Kingdom.
Marc Zahr, Co-President and Global Head of Real Assets at Blue Owl, noted that the company is applying a disciplined approach previously utilized in the U.S. to a European market opportunity estimated at 13.4 trillion euros. The capital commitments for OREF Europe were sourced from a global group of institutional investors, including insurance companies, pensions, and sovereign wealth funds.
