Warby Parker and Samsung Launch Intelligent Eyewear Collection

Warby Parker will begin pre-orders for its new Intelligent Eyewear smart glasses on November 12, with deliveries expected during the 2026 holiday season.

Warby Parker will begin accepting pre-orders for its first collection of Intelligent Eyewear on November 12, 2026, with deliveries expected during the holiday season. Announced during a Q3 earnings call, the smart glasses are a collaborative effort featuring hardware from Samsung, software from Google, and designs from Warby Parker and Gentle Monster.

The devices run on the Android XR platform and integrate Google's Gemini AI for translation, directions, and message summaries. The hardware utilizes Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chips, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. While the glasses lack lens displays, they feature built-in speakers, microphones, a side touchpad, and a 12-megapixel camera. Samsung reports a battery life of up to nine hours.

Initial availability is limited to the United States and South Korea. Warby Parker will lead the U.S. launch, offering demos in 65 stores initially before expanding to 360 locations, while Gentle Monster is expected to provide options for the Korean market. Samsung previously described the pricing as reasonably premium, though official costs have not been released.

The launch arrives amid increasing public backlash and privacy concerns regarding smart glasses, which have led some venues to ban the technology. Co-CEO Dave Gilboa indicated that while the initial rollout is focused on the holiday window, the company expects production and sales to scale meaningfully in 2027.
