UAE Media Authority Holds Diplomatic Talks in Dubai

The Chairman of the UAE National Media Authority, Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, held separate diplomatic meetings with representatives from the United States and Azerbaijan on September 15, 2026. The discussions took place on the sidelines of the Arab Media Summit in Dubai.

In talks with Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Al Hamed focused on strengthening media cooperation. The two officials discussed frameworks based on an existing Memorandum of Understanding with the State Advertising Agency of Azerbaijan.

Al Hamed also met with Massad Boulos, Senior Adviser to the US President for Arab and African Affairs. During this session, they discussed the role of media in improving communication between the Arab region and the global community. Al Hamed emphasized the necessity for a more objective media discourse regarding regional transformations.
