Pakistan Foreign Minister Joins Jerusalem Meeting in Amman

Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, arrived in Amman, Jordan, on August 5, 2026, to participate in the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem. The meeting, convened by the Government of Jordan, gathers foreign ministers from the League of Arab States and various Islamic nations to coordinate a unified response to the deteriorating conditions in occupied Jerusalem and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The summit follows an urgent appeal from 14 Arab and Palestinian organizations concerning escalating violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Participants intend to address the preservation of holy sites and challenge Israeli actions that they deem contrary to international law.

Dar's visit includes scheduled discussions with King Abdullah II and bilateral meetings with other foreign ministers. These engagements will focus on regional developments and the implementation of a two-state solution. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan stated that the visit serves as a manifestation of the country's support for the Palestinian people.
