Samsung Expands One UI 9 Beta to Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung Electronics expanded its One UI 9 Beta program, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and S25 FE, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. The program, which originally launched with the Galaxy S26 series in May 2026, now includes these additional models to gather participant feedback on performance and stability before a public release.

The beta is available in South Korea, the United Kingdom, India, and the United States, with further expansions planned for Germany and Poland. The Galaxy S25 Edge is excluded from this wave but is scheduled for a stable release later this year. Eligible users can enroll through the Samsung Members app to receive over-the-air builds.

The update is approximately 3.86 GB and includes the August 2026 security patch. New features include Quick Panel customization, Samsung DeX window management upgrades, a Tape tool in Samsung Notes, and enhanced Galaxy AI integrations. A stable release of One UI 9 is projected for the fourth quarter of 2026.
