Democratic incumbents Jeff Merkley and Val Hoyle won their reelection bids in Oregon on Tuesday, November 4, 2026. Senator Merkley defeated Republican David Brock Smith with 57% of the vote.

Congresswoman Val Hoyle secured her seat in the 4th Congressional District with 54% of the vote, defeating Republican Monique DeSpain, who received 43%, and Pacific Green Party candidate Justin Filip, who received 3%. Hoyle stated her priorities for the new Congress include immigration reform, the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and rolling back healthcare and social safety net cuts passed by Republicans in H.R. 1.

DeSpain, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, did not concede on election night, citing uncounted votes across seven counties. During the campaign, DeSpain focused on public safety and homelessness while accusing Hoyle of corruption regarding stock trading disclosures and cannabis company donations.

In local measures, Eugene voters are passing a clean energy fund that imposes a 2% fee on large retailers to fund climate projects. Conversely, a pool maintenance levy in North Bend is failing, with 59% of voters opposing the measure.
