Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan Sign Strategic Mecca Pact

The Government of Saudi Arabia, the Government of Türkiye, and the Government of Pakistan signed the Mecca pact last week, establishing a strategic alliance among the three Sunni Muslim nations. The agreement creates a formal partnership that may provide Pakistan with increased financial and military support from Riyadh, though it remains unclear if the treaty includes a collective defense commitment similar to NATO's Article 5.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India is monitoring the situation. Indian strategic analysts suggest the pact is a worrisome development that could grant Pakistan advantages during potential hostilities. In response, experts recommend that India expand its domestic defense manufacturing, integrate future technologies, and strengthen partnerships with nations like Russia to counter the new alliance.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India stated that the country remains fully committed to safeguarding its national interests and will take all necessary measures to do so.
