Huawei Unveils Nova 16s Series Smartphones for Global Markets

Huawei unveiled the Nova 16s series smartphones during its Innovative Product Launch on September 2, 2026. The series includes a standard model and a Pro version, serving as global iterations of devices released in China the previous month. While the internal components remain identical to the Chinese versions, the global models utilize software optimized for international markets.

Both devices are equipped with the Kirin 9010S processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 7,000mAh battery. The Nova 16s Pro features a 6.84-inch OLED display and a camera system consisting of a 200MP primary lens and two 50MP sensors. The standard Nova 16s is equipped with a 6.68-inch display and dual 50MP rear cameras.

Recommended pricing for the series has not been disclosed. It remains unconfirmed which specific models from the series will be released in South Africa.
