Emirates Expands A380 and A350 Services Across India and Sri Lanka
Emirates is deploying A380 aircraft to Delhi and expanding Premium Economy services across six Indian gateways and Sri Lanka to meet growing travel demand.
Emirates is expanding its aircraft footprint and service offerings across South Asia, deploying its flagship Airbus A380 to Delhi starting October 25, 2026. This move makes Delhi the third Indian city served by the A380, joining Mumbai and Bengaluru. The deployment ensures all four daily services between Delhi and Dubai will offer Premium Economy cabins.
As part of a broader regional strategy, the airline will also upgrade its daily Kolkata-Dubai service to the Airbus A350 on October 25. By the end of that month, Premium Economy will be available across six Indian gateways: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi. To support this growth, the company has opened retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with further outlets planned for Hyderabad and Bengaluru, and a new call center in Mumbai.
In addition to its Indian expansion, the airline will double its daily Airbus A350 flights between Dubai and Colombo starting August 8. This increase in frequency aims to boost Premium Economy availability for Sri Lankan travelers and strengthen connectivity for the country's tourism and business sectors via the Dubai hub.
