Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. saw its share price decline 21.7 percent during the second quarter of 2026. The drop made the financial services company the largest detractor for the portfolio of Greenskeeper Asset Management. The decline mirrored trends among industry peers Cboe Global Markets and CME Group, as investors grew concerned that earnings had reached a cyclical peak.

Market volatility was further influenced by the potential rise of perpetual futures. While these instruments are currently concentrated in the cryptocurrency market, investors are reacting to the possibility that they may expand into traditional asset classes and create a competitive threat.

Despite the stock price volatility, the company reported strong operational results at the start of the year. Intercontinental Exchange reported that revenue and earnings increased by 20 percent and 34 percent, respectively.
