Allianz SE Reports Record Second-Quarter Operating Profit of €4.9 Billion
Allianz SE posted a record second-quarter operating profit of €4.9 billion and confirmed it remains on track to meet its full-year targets.
Allianz SE reported a record second-quarter operating profit of €4.9 billion, a 10.6% increase compared to the previous year. The company's total operating profit for the first half of 2026 reached €9.4 billion, driven by low catastrophe losses and strong performance across its life and health insurance, property-casualty, and asset management divisions.
Despite the operating profit growth, shareholders' core net income for the second quarter declined 12.7% to €2.6 billion. This decrease resulted from the sale of stakes in Indian joint ventures and other share disposals. The company has completed €1.4 billion of a planned €2.5 billion share buy-back program.
Allianz confirmed it is on track to achieve its full-year operating profit target of €17.4 billion, plus or minus €1 billion. Chief Financial Officer Claire-Marie Coste-Lepoutre noted that all business segments are currently performing ahead of the midpoints of their full-year operating profit outlooks.
