Alphabet is utilizing its Google Cloud segment to monetize these investments, following a reported 82% revenue growth for the division. Meta is integrating AI to improve advertising capabilities, increase user engagement, and develop new products and services.
Both companies maintain high operating margins, with Alphabet at 34% and Meta at 31% during the second quarter. While both maintain massive user bases, Meta currently appears marginally cheaper on a forward price-to-earnings basis.
