Take-Two Shares Rally Ahead of GTA VI Launch
Take-Two Interactive shares rose nearly 4% as analysts issued bullish ratings ahead of the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Take-Two Interactive Software Inc shares rose nearly 4% to $209.04 on October 15, reversing a year-to-date decline of over 20%. The rally occurred independently of the broader market, as the NASDAQ composite fell 0.6% during the same period.
The stock movement followed a 5% drop on October 13 triggered by leaks and reports regarding the PC release window for Grand Theft Auto VI. The recovery was driven by bullish actions from several financial institutions. Bank of America Securities analyst Omar Dessouky maintained a Buy rating with a $368 price target, citing the long-term monetization potential of GTA VI Online. StoneX and Raymond James also reiterated Buy and Strong Buy ratings, both with $300 price targets.
Investors are currently repositioning ahead of the company's Q2 fiscal 2027 earnings report on November 9 and the scheduled November 19 launch of GTA VI. Management expects the game's release to drive fiscal 2027 net bookings to between $8.0 billion and $8.2 billion.
