Melania Trump Partners With Nvidia Corporation for AI Education

First Lady Melania Trump visited Mountain View Elementary School in Jefferson, North Carolina, on Tuesday to promote the integration of artificial intelligence in education. During the visit, she urged students to "dream big" and build "the next great robot," arguing that the United States must lead in AI technology to prevent students from falling behind.

To support this objective, Trump announced a partnership between her Be Best Fostering the Future initiative and Nvidia Corporation. The collaboration will provide StudyFetch AI learning subscriptions to 1,500 students in the Ashe County School District, along with 100 Jetson Nano developer kits for students at Mountain View and other district schools.

The event took place in a community previously impacted by Hurricane Helene and occurred amid a broader national debate over AI regulation. While some industry leaders have advocated for a global slowdown in AI development, the First Lady emphasized that students must be guided on available tools while remaining "vigilant." Critics of the initiative pointed to financial disclosures indicating that the president holds significant investments in Nvidia Corporation stock.
