Novo Resources Secures Approvals for Tibooburra Gold Drilling
Novo Resources Corp. obtained all regulatory approvals for a drilling program in New South Wales and formed a gold exploration joint venture with Awati Resources.
Novo Resources Corp. received all regulatory and landholder approvals to launch a 2,700-meter reverse circulation drilling program at its Tibooburra Gold Project in New South Wales. Scheduled to begin in November 2026, the program involves drilling 18 holes at the Clone prospect to test northern and down-plunge extensions of high-grade gold mineralization first identified in 2025.
To secure these permits, the company obtained approval from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and completed a heritage clearance survey with the Tibooburra Local Aboriginal Land Council on July 8, 2026.
In a separate development, the company exercised an option to establish a 70/30 unincorporated joint venture with Awati Resources Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Manhattan Gold Corporation Ltd. This agreement follows a A$1.5 million minimum spend requirement and covers six exploration licenses in the Albert Goldfields. Novo Resources will manage the venture and fund all exploration costs, free-carrying the interest of Awati Resources until the completion of a bankable feasibility study.
