Donnie Wahlberg Unhurt After Private Jet Overruns Las Vegas Runway

Donnie Wahlberg and 10 others escaped injury after their private jet overran a runway and hit a perimeter fence at Harry Reid International Airport.

A Dassault Falcon 50 private jet carrying 11 occupants, including actor and singer Donnie Wahlberg, overran runway 1L at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on October 18. The crew aborted takeoff for a flight bound for Toronto Pearson International Airport at approximately 10:52 a.m. local time, causing the aircraft to skid off the runway and strike a perimeter fence with its left wingtip.

Flight data indicates the aircraft was traveling at 70 knots when it overran the runway. Wahlberg later confirmed the incident on Instagram, stating the plane failed to get into the air and ran out of runway. No injuries were reported among the passengers or crew.

The incident triggered a temporary ground stop and the closure of runways 1L and 1R for inspection. The Federal Aviation Administration paused planned flights to the airport, resulting in average arrival delays of about 70 minutes. These disruptions affected several flights, including those carrying attendees for the NBAA-BACE business aircraft show. Airport officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the excursion.
