Brookfield Asset Management Raises Record $77 Billion in Q2

Brookfield Asset Management raised $77 billion in the second quarter of 2026 to fund global AI ecosystems and energy infrastructure projects.

Brookfield Asset Management raised a record $77 billion in the second quarter of 2026, bringing its total fundraising for the year to $98 billion. The firm reported a nearly 20% year-over-year increase in fee-related earnings per share, outperforming a broader decline in the asset management sector. To support its valuation, the company is utilizing stock buybacks and growth initiatives.

CEO Connor Teskey expects 2026 to be a record year, aiming to surpass the $137 billion high set in 2024. The company is aggressively deploying capital into energy and digital infrastructure to meet global demand for AI ecosystems. Teskey stated that the primary bottleneck for these projects is not capital or demand, but the availability of credible operators capable of executing large-scale work on time and on budget.

Strategic expansions include partnerships with Naver and NVIDIA in South Korea, as well as a project in Paducah, Kentucky, involving NextEra Energy and the U.S. Department of Energy. Brookfield is also using its infrastructure lending strategy to acquire and operate distressed assets, such as solar farms in Eastern Europe formerly managed by Golden Peaks.
