Anytime Romania Pledges €30 Million Investment in Digital Insurance
Anytime Romania will invest €30 million over five years to expand its digital insurance portfolio after acquiring 60,000 customers in its first year.
Anytime Romania, the digital insurance brand of Interamerican and a subsidiary of the Dutch Achmea Group, announced a plan to invest approximately €30 million over the next four to five years. The investment aims to expand the company's digital capabilities and product portfolio following a successful entry into the Romanian market in summer 2025. In its first year of operations, the company acquired 60,000 customers and generated over RON 100 million in gross written premiums.
During 2026, the company expanded its motor insurance offerings to include four levels of protection, from mandatory RCA to comprehensive Pro bundles. Anytime Romania intends to further diversify its offerings by introducing travel and property insurance products in 2027.
In a separate development, acting Minister of European Investments and Projects Dragos Pislaru announced plans to secure cohesion funding by the end of 2026 to establish a national deep-tech hub. The hub is designed to connect the local ecosystem with European Innovation Council instruments and provide funding for deep-tech startups. Pislaru stated that Romania must shift its economic model away from traditional infrastructure and consumption toward innovation, artificial intelligence, and competitiveness to avoid falling behind other nations.
