Ethena Token Rises 204 Percent Amid High-Yield Growth
Ethena has seen its token price surge 204 percent over 90 days as its synthetic dollar protocol expands its market capitalization to nearly $5 billion.
Ethena experienced a 204 percent price increase for its ENA token over the last 90 days. This growth is driven by the project's decentralized finance protocol on Ethereum, which allows for the creation of USDe, a synthetic U.S. dollar.
Unlike traditional stablecoins, USDe utilizes financial derivatives and hedging techniques to provide investors with higher yields. This mechanism has pushed the USDe market capitalization to nearly $5 billion. However, the synthetic nature of the peg introduces significant risks, particularly during periods of extreme market volatility.
Standard Chartered forecasts that Ethena will outperform both Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2027. The financial institution predicts the token price will rise from $0.25 to $1.10 by the end of 2027, potentially reaching $2 by the end of 2028.
