Iran Warns Regional States Against Supporting United States
Iran warned regional neighbors that providing support to the United States during armed conflict will result in those nations being classified as hostile states.
The Government of Iran warned regional countries that providing any support to the United States during a renewed armed conflict will be regarded as a hostile act toward Tehran.
Fada Hossein Maleki, a member of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, stated that Iran can identify which states back American forces. He warned that Iranian responses could extend beyond strikes on military bases to classifying those nations as hostile states.
Simultaneously, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi criticized the United States for spending 11 billion U.S. dollars on missile defense for Israel over the last three years. Araghchi claimed the U.S. has fired more interceptors defending Israel than Israel has, characterizing the relationship between the two countries as "parasitic" rather than symbiotic.
