Revolut CEO Favors US Listing for Potential IPO
Revolut CEO Nikolay Storonsky announced the digital bank prefers a primary US listing for its potential IPO to support expansion into the American market.
Revolut CEO Nikolay Storonsky announced that the digital bank favors a primary listing in the United States for a potential initial public offering. Speaking to Bloomberg TV, Storonsky stated the firm intends to "dominate" the US market by introducing loans and credit cards after acquiring a full banking charter.
Revolut received preliminary approval for a US national banking license in September, following the acquisition of licenses in Britain and France earlier this year. Currently valued privately at $115 billion, the company has become Europe's most valuable startup, surpassing the valuations of Barclays and Societe Generale.
While Storonsky previously considered a dual listing in New York and London, any public offering remains subject to market conditions. The process is likely at least a year away, with some reports suggesting a timeline extending to 2028.
