Dylan Roberts Wins Re-election to Colorado Senate District 8
Democratic incumbent Dylan Roberts defeated Republican challenger Corey Marshall to secure a second term in the Colorado State Senate.
Democratic incumbent Dylan Roberts won re-election to the Colorado Senate District 8 seat, defeating Republican challenger Corey Marshall. Unofficial results from the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office showed Roberts winning with approximately 60% of the vote compared to Marshall's 40%.
The race covered the northwest corner of the state, including the Western Slope. During the campaign, both candidates focused on affordability, though they differed on tax reform, the state budget deficit, and responses to the administration of President Donald Trump.
Roberts, a former deputy district attorney and state representative, will now enter his second term in the state senate. He stated that voters sent a clear message favoring results over politics and emphasized the need to continue work on affordability, environmental protection, and representation for the geographically diverse district.
