President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan engaged in a series of high-level diplomatic telephone conversations between July 24 and July 25, 2026, focusing on regional alliances and international cooperation.

On July 24, Mirziyoyev received birthday congratulations from President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan. Aliyev emphasized the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, while Berdimuhamedov conveyed additional greetings from Turkmenistan's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Mirziyoyev noted that the partnership with Turkmenistan has reached a qualitatively new level.

Later on July 24, Mirziyoyev spoke with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. The leaders discussed strengthening ties across various fields to serve mutual interests and exchanged views on recent regional and international developments.
