Ilham Aliyev Calls for Digital Audit Modernization in Baku

Ilham Aliyev addressed an international scientific and practical conference in Baku to mark the 30th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan. During the event, titled "Development stages of audit: path from compliance to strategic partnership and trust," the president detailed the role of audit institutions in combating corruption and ensuring financial transparency to strengthen national economic power.

Aliyev advocated for a digital transformation of the sector, specifically calling for the integration of artificial intelligence and big data analytics into audit activities. He argued that the profession must evolve beyond its traditional compliance functions to become a strategic partner and value-creating institution capable of meeting modern global economic requirements.
