Germany Projects Higher Long-Term Tax Revenue Through 2030
The German Finance Ministry expects total tax revenue to exceed May projections by 2030 despite a slight dip in income for the current year.
The Federal Ministry of Finance announced that Germany's total tax revenue through 2030 is expected to be marginally higher than projections released in May. This adjustment follows an economy that has proven more resilient than previously anticipated.
For the current year, federal tax income is projected to reach 379.1 billion euros, a decrease of approximately 3 billion euros compared to the May forecast. However, the ministry expects a cumulative increase of 3.39 billion euros over the next four years.
Despite the long-term growth in revenue, the ministry stated that the government will have no additional fiscal leeway for the coming year.
