Tesco Expands Aldi Price Match to 2,000 Express Stores

Tesco extended its Aldi price match scheme to 2,000 Express convenience stores and expanded its Finest deli range to attract budget-conscious and gourmet shoppers.

On April 29, 2026, Tesco launched the largest expansion of its Aldi Price Match scheme since May 2020, extending the program to more than 2,000 Express convenience stores across the United Kingdom. Previously available only online and in larger supermarkets, the initiative now allows shoppers at smaller local branches to purchase over 200 everyday essential products—including milk, pasta, and fresh vegetables—at prices matched to Aldi.

Tesco UK chief executive Ashwin Prasad stated the move aims to maintain customer confidence and keep food shopping affordable for households facing budget pressures. Eligible products are identified by a specific Aldi Price Match logo at the shelf edge, though the exact range varies by store location and size.

Simultaneously, the retailer expanded its premium Finest deli range, adding 45 new products to its Clubcard Prices 3 for £8 offer. This overhaul brings the total number of eligible items to 68, creating over 54,000 mix-and-match combinations. The selection includes gourmet dips, truffle-infused prosciutto, and pastries, catering to consumer trends toward solo snacking and grazing-style dinners. This revamp follows the supermarket being named Good Housekeeping’s Picky Tea Supermarket of the Year 2026.
