Fox News Media Announces Immediate Departure of Maria Bartiromo
Fox News Media removed anchor Maria Bartiromo from the network effective immediately and announced a restructuring of her programming.
Fox News Media announced the immediate departure of anchor and global markets editor Maria Bartiromo on September 3, 2026. Bartiromo joined the company in 2014 and hosted several programs, including Mornings with Maria, Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street, and Sunday Morning Futures.
The network did not provide a specific reason for the abrupt exit. Bartiromo was a prominent supporter of Donald Trump and a central figure in defamation lawsuits filed by Smartmatic and Dominion Voting Systems concerning 2020 election claims.
Fox News is restructuring Bartiromo's former time slots. Mornings with Maria will be renamed Mornings with FOX Business and utilize rotating hosts. Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street will become FBN's Wall Street, with Cheryl Casone hosting the initial episodes. Former Representative Jason Chaffetz will anchor Sunday Morning Futures until a permanent replacement is selected.
