The data shows a slight variance between regions, with inflation reaching 10.1% in urban areas and 10.5% in rural areas, resulting in an average rate of 10.20% for the July-September quarter.
Transport fares saw the most significant annual increase, rising by 27.43%, while costs for housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel increased by 12.39%. Specific price spikes in September included a 15.28% climb in electricity prices and an 11.13% increase in motor fuel.
Food prices rose by 8.20% over the year, though the monthly trend showed some relief for consumers. Prices for several staples, including tomatoes, chicken, milk, sugar, and rice, decreased during the month of September.
